About emily

Anti-Social Studies was created by Emily Glankler after years of hearing how little adults learned (or remembered) from their history classes. Emily decided to open up her classroom to the public through podcasts and social media to supplement the high school history experience with something more engaging.

Emily Glankler is a veteran high school teacher in Austin, Texas. She earned degrees in History and International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a graduate degree in History (M.A.) from Texas State University. Over the past eleven years she has taught everything from 6th grade World Cultures to high school electives on International Relations and Contemporary Issues. Her expertise is in AP World History and AP U.S. History and she loves collaborating with other educators and organizations to expand access to history education.
